THE MAKING OF A LIBERTY BELL
REPLICA
( 30 mins. )
To commemorate the 300th Anniversary of religious liberty
in America, the Whitechapel Bell Foundry was commissioned by the
Providence Forum, Pennsylvania to produce a replica of the Liberty
Bell.
Using the original patterns and methods, this bell was cast in
the same casting pit as used in 1751.
It now serves as a stationary and mobile object lesson for children
and adults on the history of American religious liberty.
